Work from home | Boring with no workmates
Whilst no workmates may seem like the appeal of working from home to people who are not so fond of their current workmates, these people may find that they miss interacting with people each day.
Many people complain that working from home is boring with no workmates. If you don’t do something to combat the isolation of working from home, you may find yourself not leaving the house all day and this can become extremely boring after a while. There is no gossip around the water cooler and you cannot discuss your ideas with anyone. In order to combat this drawback, if you have friends who also work from home or who work in the area you should consider meeting for lunch on a regular basis.
This way you will feel like any other professional person and less like there is a whole world going on outside that you are not a part of. Of course if you really dislike working from home with no workmates, perhaps working from home is not the right choice for you. Some people work better as part of a team and like to discuss ideas so working from home just doesn’t suit them. There is no point in working from home if you do not enjoy it.
